Every year, the Student Association of Economics (Wasti e.V.) in cooperation with the Faculty of Economics invites all students to the Nobel Prize Lecture in Economic Sciences at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. The event aims at giving insight into the work of the laureates and different economic research fields.

This year, the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel 2023 was awarded to Claudia Goldin (Harvard University) for work on “women’s earnings and labor market participation through centuries”.
